For many of the approximately 40,000 employees (source: ZDH 2022) of the Central Association of Body and Vehicle Painters, manual sanding of individual molded parts is (still?) part of the daily routine.
What is the situation in boatbuilding? Up to now, ship hulls often still have to be reworked by hand. Why not automate and expand capacities?
